2025 Weekly Creativity: January 1 – 4
Four days into January and I have spent most of it setting up my new planner. Although I have loved using my 5 x 8.25 inch hardcover Moleskine weekly planner for the last two years, I decided to switch it up in 2025 for something with a lot more page real estate. I chose an 8 x 10 inch soft-cover Eccolo planner instead. I love the monthly view! At a glance, I can see how busy my December was and can appreciate all the different groups of people I met up with based on my colour coding. The adorable planner stickers on my spreads are from Peppercut and TheCoffeeMonsterzCo.
My friend’s son is turning one today and I was invited to the party. I finally had an excuse to use this cute wooden turtle embellishment on a card. The patterned paper I had picked up at a warehouse clearance several years ago, and I cut out the text using my Cricut Air 2. I used another piece of scrapbook paper to make a coordinating envelope – the whole package just looks so fun!
Last month, I made a sympathy card for my administrative assistant after three of her relatives passed away within two weeks. I usually try to aim for simple but elegant when designing a sympathy card. Too many embellishments just seem out of place for a somber occasion. I really liked how this design turned out so I made another one this week to keep in the wings for the next (inevitable) time that I will have to give out a sympathy card.
